Tied Down

This painting represents how people in today’s society are not able to show their true selves because we have to put up a façade to be accepted by the society hence why they are being ‘tied down’

Silence In Isolation

Based on a photograph that I took on vacation, it inspired me to create this painting. The message that I want to carry out with this painting is being isolated in a peaceful environment. Having the peace and quiet surrounding you, it gives us a break from the digital live and it allows us time to take in the beauty of nature that is around us taking in the affordable luxury.

This painting was inspired by a puzzle that was done by my father. Lavender symbolizes silence and calmness and that is the message that I want to carry out from this painting. However, in this painting their a mixture of calmness and silence and urban life which is symbolized as the electric poles. There is a mixture of these two elements because in life we need calmness but that is sometimes meddled with the urban life.
